We are one of the largest integrated logistics provider in India. We handle over 70,000 containers (TEUs) annually and have over 3.2 million square feet of company owned warehouses and cold storages at 5 locations. We are an ISO9001:2008 certified company and trusted by over 200 customers. We have been serving the industry since 1920.

History

Kotak Global Logistics Limited was established by S. Ramdas Pragji Pvt. Ltd. (SRPFPL) about a century ago, with an aim to cater to export and import logistics requirements of global customers.

Late Sri Ramdas Pragji formed S. Ramdas Pragji Pvt. Ltd. (SRPFPL), initially just to provide custom clearance facility for clearing inbound and outbound shipments. Since its inception in 1920, SRPFPL has been very successful in diversification and added several other services to its fold.

1920-

S. Ramdas Pragji Pvt. Ltd. (SRPFPL) was established as a customs clearance agency.

1975-

Was awarded the prestigious tender for handling shipments of NAFED.

1976-1991 –

Was awarded majority of the govt and semi government tenders for executing shipments for STATE TRADING CORPORTATION, NAFED, MAFCO, TRIFED and MSCCGF.

1991 –

Freight broking arm formed to provide integrated service to customers

1993 –

Transportation wing launched

1996 –

1st warehouse at Turbhe

2003 –

First container yard established at Nhava sheva

2004 –

Second warehousing yard established along with 100 tons weigh-bridge facility, making it the first such in-house stuffing facility

2005 –

Commenced Gujarat operations

2006 –

4 Four more warehousing facilities constructed at Nhava Sheva

2007 –

Restarted railway siding at TATA Steel; was first in India to bring cargo wagons to private siding

2010 –

Established Mundra Warehouse and Container Yard

2011 –

Established Pipavav Warehouse and Container Yard

2012 –

we made our gujrat regional office in ADI our own bldg of 3 floors.

2014 –

1st warehouse in GIDC Mundra 12500.00

2015 –

1st warehouse in Baraya for commodities – 35000

2016 –

Shifted to our new premises in WADALA

2017 –

2nd warehouse in Baraya for commodities – 35000
(warehouses constructed with best amenities to match international standards, approved by risk management teams of multinational trade houses

2018 –

Turbhe warehouse converted in cold storage with latest technology and modern amenities for storage of fruit & vegetables and horticulture capacity is 1200 tons

Bhagwan Kotak

CHAIRMAN

Bhagwan R. Kotak is a well regarded and trusted name in the logistics industry. Bhagwan R. Kotak along with his brother K.R. Kotak took the reins of the company as teenagers, in 1952, after the sudden demise of their father. His hard work, determination, dedication, foresight and support laid the strong foundation of the Group. The company has never looked back since and has grown leaps and bounds under their guidance and leadership.

Chetan Kotak

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Chetan K Kotak joined the group in the year 1985 and has since been injecting fresh ideas into the company. He has been instrumental in turning the company’ focus towards containerized cargo, which led to exponential growth. He has introduced various new business avenues for the group and is one of the pioneers of the warehousing business.

Kailash Kotak

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kailash B Kotak joined the group in the year 1991. He managed to fill up the gaps in the group enabling the group to establish and push the existing freight forwarding business to new heights. He has been instrumental in backward and forward integration of the group in the logistics value chain. He also focussed on streamlining the processes to deliver uniformity and consistency in services to all customers.
